Section 1

Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Drip ("Drip," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use the Drip platform at https://drippay.dev (the "Service").

This Cookie Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides further details on how we collect and process personal data.

Summary: Drip uses only strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use any cookies for advertising, analytics, behavioral tracking, or targeted marketing.

Section 2

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, improve efficiency, and provide information to the website operator.

Session Cookies

Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser. They are used to maintain your session while navigating the Service.

Persistent Cookies

Cookies that remain on your device for a set period or until you manually delete them. They enable the Service to recognize you on return visits.

First-Party Cookies

Cookies set directly by the website you are visiting (drippay.dev).

Third-Party Cookies

Cookies set by a domain other than the one you are visiting, typically by integrated service providers such as authentication services.

Similar Technologies

In addition to cookies, the Service uses localStorage, a browser mechanism that stores small amounts of data on your device. Unlike cookies, localStorage data is not sent to the server with every request. We use localStorage solely to persist user interface preferences and application state. These items are disclosed in Section 3 below.

Section 3

Cookies and Technologies We Use

3.1 Cookies

All cookies used by the Service are strictly necessary for authentication and session management. They are set by our third-party authentication provider, Privy.

3.2 localStorage

The following localStorage items are stored on your device for user interface preferences and application state. These are not cookies and are not sent to our servers with requests. We disclose them here for transparency.

3.3 Third-Party Wallet Connections

If you connect an external wallet via WalletConnect, the WalletConnect SDK may store session data in localStorage under keys prefixed with wc@. This data is used solely for maintaining your wallet connection state and is strictly necessary for the wallet authentication feature. WalletConnect does not set browser cookies.

Section 4

Legal Basis

The legal bases for the cookies and similar technologies used on the Service are as follows:

ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3))

All cookies used by the Service are strictly necessary for the provision of the Service explicitly requested by the user (authentication and session management). Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement.

GDPR (Article 6(1)(f))

To the extent that cookies process personal data, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing secure authentication and maintaining user sessions. This interest is balanced against your rights and does not override them, as these cookies are essential for the Service to function.

No consent-requiring cookies: Drip does not use any analytics, marketing, advertising, or behavioral tracking cookies. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will obtain your prior informed consent before setting them on your device.

Section 5

How to Manage Cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically view, delete, and block cookies from within your browser.

Warning: Disabling or blocking the cookies listed in this policy will prevent you from logging in to the Drip dashboard, as they are required for authentication.

Clearing localStorage

Clearing localStorage will reset your UI preferences and onboarding progress but will not affect your account or data.

Section 6

Your Rights (EU/EEA Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding personal data processed through cookies and similar technologies:

Right to Information

You have the right to be informed about the cookies and similar technologies we use, their purposes, and legal basis. This Cookie Policy fulfills that obligation.

Right of Access

You may request confirmation of whether personal data derived from cookies is being processed and obtain a copy of that data.

Right to Erasure

You may request deletion of personal data derived from cookies. You can also delete cookies directly through your browser settings.

Section 7

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our business practices.
